Lupe Castillo-PM-40min- What I did during open lab

We were figuring out the mechanics for our machine. We spent our timing specifically the motor. We haven't exactly decided  which motor we are going to use, but we will decide as soon as we can. Our next game plan will be to work on the code with the little that we know.  we will needs lots of help. We are excited to see the final outcome.

We worked on the hard ware of our dispenser. We designed a 3D model on cad. We talked about materials and such.  WE discussed the structure.

Lupe Castillo-PM-1hr- What I did during open lab

Today I did my flip grid video on the breadboard. I did two brief explanations; one for Jocelyn and Cindy, and another one for the actual video. Then I met up with my RobotClub team and discussed hardware ideas for the dog food dispenser. We talked about design and actions we want it to do. We want to make it similar to a quarter gum dispenser and we want it to somehow play catch with the do. We also came up with a few questions we want to ask to make the designing process easier. We want to make it as user friendly as possible. Here are the questions: -What is the size of the dog? -What is the size of food and treats? -What is the size of the location he wants the machine in? -Does he want it to plug in or battery powered?

Today I helped Jocelyn learn how to solder. I taught her everything she needs to know to be able to do it on her own. From the I kept supervising her to make sure everything was going well. I think she did a pretty good job.
